E’ nata una nuova applicazione per iPhone che consente di chiamare gratis con tutti i tuoi amici dovunque siano. L’applicazione si chiama Viber ed è un valido concorrente del conosciutissimo Skype, il programma è molto utile e offre i servizi VoIP sfruttando la connessone a internet (3G o Wi-Fi) per chiamare tutti i telefonini che lo hanno installato.Il programma è possibile scaricarlo dall’App Store gratuitamente e non richiede alcun tipo di registrazione per poter effettuare chiamate. Una volta che abbiamo scaricato il programma, basta inserire il numero di telefono e attendere la ricezione di un SMS con un codice di attivazione.
Quando riceviamo il codice di attivazione basta inserirlo nel box apposito e Viber funziona perfettamente. Inserendo il numero di telefono è più facile riconoscere nella tua rubrica del programma chi dei tuoi amici lo utilizza per poter usufruire del servizio gratuitamente e poterli chiamare con un solo click.
Gli sviluppatori dell’applicazione assicurano che i dati degli utenti rimangono anonimi e che non saranno rilasciati a società esterne, e anche l’utilizzo è del tutto semplice con un’interfaccia grafica ben progettata con tutte le schede in background per ottimizzare e facilitare le chiamate.
Il programma utilizza le notifiche push che si rendono utili quando il programma è in modalità Off cioè non è stato lanciato, il server riceve la chiamata e informa il destinatario con un trillo consentendo di rispondere con un click sul tasto apposito. Ovviamente questo è possibile quando il telefono è connesso a internet, oppure per chi ha un abbonamento dati e può ricevere le chiamate in qualsiasi momento.
Anche sul lato audio è superiore a Skype e la chiamata non produce alcun disturbo facendola sembrare una semplicissima conversazione, e anche con il segnale 3G con due tacche è possibile chiamare in libertà.
Presto sarà disponibile anche inviare messaggi gratis con nuove modifiche dell’applicazione.
